Tidio pricing explained, including Lyro AI costs
Tidio sells a customer service platform (live chat, ticketing, channels) and, separately, an AI agent called Lyro. The pricing page has a monthly/annual toggle and a usage calculator, so the figure you see depends on how you set them. This page records both billing periods for every plan and every Lyro tier from Tidio’s pricing page as checked on October 22, 2026, explains what Tidio counts, and works one example. We have not tested Lyro and say nothing about how well it answers.

The annual figures are the per-month amounts Tidio shows for annual billing. Growth’s price rises with the number of billable conversations you choose; the page shows only the starting price.
What a “billable conversation” is
Tidio’s pricing FAQ (checked October 22, 2026) defines it: “‘Billable conversation’ refers to any live chat, ticket, email or social media channel conversation that includes a message from a human agent (you). Unanswered messages initiated by visitors/customers are not counted.” It adds that “responses from Flows and Lyro AI Agent are not counted as ‘agent replies’”, and that a thread counts once however many messages it holds. In other words, the plan quota is for conversations your team answers; conversations handled only by the AI are metered separately, as Lyro AI conversations.
The Lyro AI agent add-on
Lyro is priced by AI conversations a month. The calculator on the pricing page shows these tiers (checked October 22, 2026):
| Lyro AI conversations a month | Billed monthly | Billed annually (per month) |
|---|---|---|
| 50 | $39 | $32.50 |
| 100 | $75 | $62.50 |
| 150 | $110 | $91.67 |
| 200 | $140 | $116.67 |
| 300 | $210 | $175 |
| 500 | $350 | $291.67 |
| 750 | $525 | $437.50 |
| 1,000 | $700 | $583.33 |
| More | Custom (Plus) | |

The same page, checked October 22, 2026, also lists a “No Tidio branding” add-on at 20 USD a month, and a Flows add-on from $29 a month billed monthly ($24.17 annually) for 2,000 visitors reached.
How a Lyro conversation is counted comes from Tidio’s help article The Lyro AI agent limit (checked October 22, 2026): one use is “a single time Lyro responds for the first time in a new conversation thread or ticket thread”; a thread closes after 15 minutes of inactivity, so a returning visitor starts a new one; and nothing is deducted if Lyro hands off to a live agent straight away.
The free 50 Lyro conversations
Every Tidio project gets 50 Lyro conversations free, once. The help article calls it “a non-renewable quota of 50 Lyro conversations” and says that when you reach it “Lyro stops working, and the quota will not reset”, unlike the live chat and Flows quotas. Buying a Lyro package gives a monthly quota that “resets each month (on the day you’ve originally purchased the upgrade)”. What a paid Lyro package does when its monthly quota is used up is not stated in the article or on the pricing page, so we do not say.
A worked example
This is an example, not a quote. Assumptions: a small business site where the AI handles about 300 visitor conversations a month and a person replies in no more than 50 of them; prices as checked October 22, 2026.
- Free plan plus Lyro 300, billed monthly: $210 a month. The 50 human-answered conversations fit the Free plan’s 50 billable conversations; the 300 AI conversations need the 300 tier at $210. Tidio’s calculator shows this combination as “Total price $210/mo.”
- The same, billed annually: $175 a month, paid for the year. Tidio labels annual billing “2 months free”.
- If a person replies in 100 conversations instead, the Starter plan is needed: $29 monthly ($24.17 annually) on top of the Lyro tier, so $239 a month billed monthly or $199.17 a month billed annually.
Because Lyro counts a new thread after 15 minutes of inactivity, a site whose visitors come back later in the day uses more Lyro conversations than visitors, so the tier you need may be higher than the headcount suggests.
When Tidio is the better choice
Only Tidio’s own pricing page is used for this list, and it is about fit, not quality.
- You answer customers yourself and want an inbox. Tidio’s plans list live chat and ticketing, an email management system, a live visitors list, operating hours, automatic chat assignment and desktop and mobile apps. FlatRateChat has no inbox and no live human chat.
- You run an online shop. The compare table lists “Native Shopify actions” and “Lyro product recommendation” (with a paid Lyro quota). FlatRateChat answers from your pages and has no shop integration.
- You want several channels in one place. Messenger, Instagram, WhatsApp and email integrations are listed. FlatRateChat is a bubble on your website only.
- You want proactive automation. Flows, Tidio’s no-code conversion paths, are a separate product with their own quota. FlatRateChat only answers questions visitors ask.
How FlatRateChat prices it
FlatRateChat counts answers, one per visitor question, and the plan price is the most you pay. On any website it is Starter at $19 a month (100 pages, 1,000 answers) or Full at $59 a month (500 pages, 5,000 answers). It starts with a 14-day free trial (a card is needed to start it, but nothing is charged until day 15). On Wix there is a Free plan with 50 pages and 100 answers a month, then Starter at $19 a month and Full at $59 a month (yearly $15 / $49). Paid plans keep answering at up to 10 answers an hour above the included answers, with no overage charges. Answers come only from your site’s own published pages, and each one links the page it came from; when the answer is not there, the bot says so and shows your contact details. It can be wrong sometimes, like any AI, and your content isn’t used to train AI models.
