FlatRateChatBot

FlatRateChatBot reads public web pages so that a website's owner, or someone trying our free demo, can get a chatbot that answers questions from that site.

How it identifies itself

User agent: FlatRateChatBot/1.0 (+https://flatratechat.com/bot)

What it does

• Follows your robots.txt rules for FlatRateChatBot (or *). When reading a site for a demo it also skips pages marked noindex; on a customer's own site (the owner installed the chatbot) noindex pages are read, because site builders often hide a whole site from search engines by default.
• Reads only public pages: no logins, forms, carts or checkouts.
• Reads at most 30 pages for a demo, and at most 500 pages for a paying customer's own site, about once a week.
• Requests no more than 4 pages at a time from any one website.

How to block it

Add this to your robots.txt:
