For web designers, agencies and website tutorial creators who build or look after small-business websites. You earn 25% of what each client you refer pays us for their first 12 months, and 30% once 10 of your clients have stayed for 3 months.
How it works
- Apply by email. Tell us about you and the sites you build. We approve every partner by hand and may decline any application.
- Tell us about each client. Once approved, email us your client's website address before they start their trial, and we record the referral on their account.
- Your client starts a 14-day free trial on flatratechat.com (card required; nothing is charged until day 15).
- When they pay, you earn 25% of each payment we receive from them, for 12 months from their first payment. Once 10 of your clients have stayed for 3 months, you earn 30%.

For each referred client, for each month they pay, up to 12 months from their first payment. If they cancel, commission stops. Commission is figured on the price before any sales tax.
Which plan to recommend
- Starter ($19): sites with up to about 100 pages and a normal amount of visitor questions (up to 1,000 AI answers a month). That fits most small salons, restaurants and contractors.
- Full ($59): bigger sites (up to 500 pages) or busy ones (up to 5,000 AI answers a month).
- Not sure? Run the free demo on the client's site: it shows about how many pages we found. Recommend the plan that fits; clients can switch between Starter and Full any time from their dashboard.
What counts
- Counts: paid plans billed by FlatRateChat: the website plans on flatratechat.com and the paid plans of the FlatRateChat WordPress plugin.
- Doesn't count (for now): plans bought in the Wix App Market, which Wix bills.
What your clients get
An AI chatbot that answers visitors from the client's own website pages, with a link to the page it used. When the answer isn't on the site, it says so and shows the owner's contact details instead of guessing. One flat monthly price, no credits, no add-ons, no overage bills. It installs with one line of code on WordPress, Squarespace, Shopify, Webflow and plain HTML sites. Anyone can try the free demo on their own site first.
Partner terms
- Commission: 25% of each payment we receive (excluding tax) from a customer you referred, for 12 months from that customer's first payment. Once 10 of your referred customers have each made at least 3 monthly payments, your rate becomes 30% for every payment we receive after that from your referred customers who are still within their 12 months, and it stays at 30%. If a referred customer cancels or stops paying, the commission stops with their last payment; nothing is owed for months they don't pay. If a payment is refunded or charged back, the commission on it is cancelled.
- Which referrals count: the client must be new to FlatRateChat (no earlier account or trial for that website) and start their trial within 90 days after you tell us about them. One partner per client: the first partner to tell us gets the credit.
- Questions about credit: if more than one partner claims the same client, or it isn't clear whether a referral counts, we decide in good faith from our records, mainly the date your email about the client reached us. If you think a commission is missing or wrong, email us within 60 days of the payout it should have been in.
- Payouts: monthly, by PayPal or Wise, for commissions on payments at least 30 days old, once your balance is at least $25. Any PayPal or Wise fees are deducted. US partners may be asked for a W-9 and partners outside the US for a W-8 form; you are responsible for your own taxes.
- Say that you earn a commission whenever you recommend FlatRateChat (in posts, videos, emails and proposals), clearly and close to the recommendation, as US FTC rules require.
- Describe it honestly. Use what is on our website. Don't promise it never makes mistakes, never stops or has no limits, don't make up reviews or testimonials, and don't present yourself as FlatRateChat.
- No spam: no unsolicited emails, texts or direct messages. No paid search ads on the name "FlatRateChat" or close misspellings, and don't register domains, pages or social media accounts with our name.
- No self-referrals: your own sites and businesses don't earn commission.
- Wix sites use our Wix app. Don't put a Wix site on a website plan, or move one off the Wix app, to earn commission.
- Changes: we may change or end the program with 30 days' notice by email. If we end it, clients you already referred keep earning you commission for the rest of their 12 months. We may remove a partner who breaks these terms, and commissions from breaking them are not paid.
- Partners are independent. Nothing here makes you our employee, agent or representative. Our only obligation to you under this program is to pay commissions as described here. These terms are governed by the laws of Massachusetts. Our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy also apply.
